| เกร็ดน่ารู้ เพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ยามเย็น: Love at Sundown เป็นเพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ลำดับที่ ๒ ทรงพระราชนิพนธ์ใน พ.ศ. ๒๔๘๙ ขณะยังทรงเป็นสมเด็จพระอนุชาธิราช ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้พระเจ้าวรวงศ์เธอ พระองค์เจ้าจักรพันธ์เพ็ญศิริ นิพนธ์คำร้องภาษาไทย และท่านผู้หญิงนพคุณ ทองใหญ่ ณ อยุธยา แต่งคำร้องภาษาอังกฤษ แล้วพระราชทานเพลงพระราชนิพนธ์ที่มีคำร้องสมบูรณ์ ให้นายเอื้อ สุนทรสนาน นำออกบรรเลง ในงานของสมาคมปราบวัณโรค ณ เวทีลีลาศ สวนอัมพร เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ ๔ พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. ๒๔๘๙ นับเป็นเพลงพระราชนิพนธ์เพลงแรก ที่นำออกบรรเลงสู่ประชาชน เป็นเพลงที่ร่าเริงแจ่มใส เหมาะสำหรับการเต้นรำในสมัยนั้น จึงเป็นเพลงยอดนิยมของพสกนิกรไทยทันที |
